We cannot recommend PK Petsitters enough! Paula and Kristo provide absolute peace of mind while caring for our dog Sasha – we know she is in excellent hands and loves staying with them, including for longer stays. (It also helps that Sasha became best buds with their dog, Pixel!) It is very clear how much Paula and Kristo genuinely love dogs, which comes through in their frequent text, photo, and video updates of Sasha while we are away. It is also very reassuring that Paula is a vet in the event anything health-related were to come up. In a recent stay, Kristo took some really amazing photos of Sasha and her new pals – truly some of the best photos we’ve ever had of her, which we will always cherish! We also love that they take dogs staying with them out on little adventures to different parks around the city. Paula and Kristo are amazing, attentive, and deeply caring. My rescue dog is an anxious gal with leash aggression, so she had only been watched by close friends and family prior to working with PK Pet Sitters. When we found Paula and team, it was truly life changing. Our sitters, Amanda, was so great with our dog, and kept us updated throughout their long weekend together. Paula and Kristo looked after our beloved dachshund Chuck earlier this month. The experience couldn’t have been any better. Chuck loved spending time with both Kristo and Paula. We received many picture and video updates which was important to us. We were made to feel very at ease and relaxed leaving Chuck in their care, which contributed to us having such a great vacation with our daughter. My partner and I have a 3 year old shelter lab mix (80lbs). She is reactive to other dogs, has one eye, and an extreme case of resource guarding. We moved to NYC in June of 2024 and have not been able to take a vacation together as no one has been able to manage our dog. So depressing! PK Pet Sitters was not only up to the challenge, they exceled! I would call them something akin to dog whisperers. These people are absolute gems, and I am so so so thankful we found them. We utilized them for a 5 day in-home care while we were out of the country. They provided specialized care to our pup and provided us with daily video check-ins while we were away. Where to begin. We use PKPS for both weekly walks and overnight sitting, and they have exceeded our expectations at every turn. Our girl is a nervous rescue who requires patient, attentive care — and PKPS delivers that in spades. Kayla handles our weekly walks with reliability and professionalism we can always count on. During a recent trip out of town, Kristo and Paula cared for our pup as if she were their own. Kristo took her on more walks per day than she typically gets even with us, and he understood instinctively that earning a rescue’s trust takes time (and treats). We received updates throughout each day, including photos, videos, and written notes that gave us total peace of mind. He was also a considerate, respectful guest in our home. We genuinely cannot wait for our next trip, knowing our girl is in the best possible hands. And judging by her excitement, we’re pretty sure she can’t wait to see her new friends again!
